General FAQs
We provide DJs, entertainment and event production for weddings, corporate events, private parties, nightlife and hospitality venues, awards evenings, launches and plenty in between. If you’re planning something a little different, get in touch and we can talk through what you need.
We’re based in South Devon and work throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bristol, Bath and the wider South West. We also regularly travel further afield, including London and destination events.
Pricing depends on the type of event, location, timings and what you’d like us to provide. Wedding packages start from £1,250, while private events start from £850. Nightlife, hospitality and regular venue bookings are priced differently, with rates tailored around the venue, frequency and requirements. Corporate and bespoke events are quoted individually.
While DJs are at the heart of what we do, we can provide much more around an event, including live musicians, hosting, dance floors, sound, lighting and larger-scale event production. What we provide is tailored to the event rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Future Media is a collective of experienced DJs and entertainment professionals, supported by a wider team behind the scenes. It means we can match the right people to each event, offer a broader range of entertainment and provide the planning, communication and support of an established company from enquiry through to the event itself.
Wedding FAQs
Absolutely! We want your wedding to sound like your wedding.
As part of the planning process, we recommend creating a sample playlist of around 15-50 songs that you genuinely love and would be happy to hear on the night. You can share this with us through Spotify, Apple Music or TIDAL.
Think of it as a guide rather than a complete playlist. It gives your DJ a great understanding of your musical taste, while still giving them the freedom to read the room, take requests and adapt as the party develops.
We’ll also ask for any absolute ‘Do Not Play’ songs or artists, so there are no unwanted surprises.
Of course. Requests can be a great part of the night, providing they fit with the music you’ve asked us to play.
You’re still the priority. Your DJ will use their judgement throughout the evening, and anything on your Do Not Play list stays firmly off limits!
Absolutely. We’re proud to have a collective of experienced DJs, and you can meet some of the team on our website.
If there’s a particular Future Media DJ you’d love to have at your wedding, just let us know. Where they’re available and the right fit for your day, we’ll always do our best to accommodate your request.
You don’t need to choose, though. Tell us about your wedding, your music and the kind of party you want to create, and we’ll make sure the right DJ is looking after you.
Yes. Getting to know you and what you want from the night is an important part of the process.
We’ll gather the important information in advance and arrange a consultation before the wedding to talk through your music, timings, key moments and how you want the evening to feel.
Our standard wedding packages include four hours of evening DJ entertainment, with 7pm to 11pm being the most popular choice. A Midnight Finish can also be added, while Luxe includes entertainment through to Midnight.
But every wedding is different. If your timings don’t fit the standard packages, we can build something bespoke around your day. Whether that’s 6pm to 10pm, 9pm to 2am or something completely different, just talk to us about what you have planned.
Absolutely. We’ll work with you and your venue to make setup fit around the wedding day wherever possible.
If you need everything installed earlier, our Early Equipment Setup add-on allows us to have your evening setup ready before 3pm and return later for the party.
This is particularly useful where the evening reception takes place in the same room as your Wedding Breakfast, avoiding disruption later in the day. It’s also a great option for marquee weddings, where everything can be set and ready well in advance.

The scale and style of production depends on your package and venue, ranging from a clean and elegant setup through to larger lighting, dance floor and LED screen productions.
We also have White LED Starlit and Black & White Chequered dance floors available in 12ft, 14ft and 16ft sizes.
Entrance-to-Encore brings the energy of your evening celebration into your Wedding Breakfast.
Your DJ joins you earlier as your host, taking care of your entrance, key announcements and speech introductions, alongside guest interaction including our popular Sing-for-your-Table. We’ll also provide background music during the Wedding Breakfast before transitioning into the evening celebration. Early Equipment Setup is included too.
Yes. Our Ceremony Audio add-on provides dedicated sound for your ceremony, including your chosen music and appropriate wireless microphones.
Depending on the ceremony, we can provide handheld or lapel microphones, or a combination of both.
Absolutely. Our DJs regularly work alongside live musicians.
We can work with someone you’ve already booked, recommend one of our trusted performers, or help create a wider entertainment package incorporating live saxophone, percussion or trumpet alongside your DJ.
Once you’re happy to go ahead, we’ll send everything over to make your booking official, including your booking agreement and deposit details.
Once these are completed, your wedding is confirmed with Future Media. We’ll then keep in touch throughout the lead-up, with the detailed planning taking place closer to the day.

We also travel throughout the UK, including London, and can provide entertainment for destination weddings. Pricing may vary depending on location and any additional travel, accommodation or logistical requirements.
Of course. Future Media carries Public Liability Insurance, and our electrical equipment is regularly inspected and tested.
If your venue needs copies of our documentation, we can provide everything they require.
Hospitality FAQs

Yes. We can manage regular DJ residencies and build a reliable rota around your venue, audience and music direction. As a collective, we can provide consistency while still giving venues access to a wider team of DJs when needed.
Every venue is different. We look at your audience, music direction, trading times and the atmosphere you want to create, then select DJs from our collective who suit the venue. Over time, we aim to build a core team who understand your venue and its customers.
Definitely. Particularly in restaurants, terraces and hospitality spaces, the DJ can become part of the overall atmosphere and visual identity of the venue. We can create stylish DJ setups that provide a visual focal point as well as the right soundtrack.
Our collective covers a wide range of styles, from laid-back house, disco and soulful sounds through to commercial, R&B, hip-hop, throwbacks and high-energy club sets. The music direction is tailored around the venue, audience and time of day.
Yes. We can work with your existing setup or provide DJ equipment, sound and a suitable DJ booth. This can range from a subtle setup designed to complement a restaurant or terrace through to a larger nightlife setup.
Yes. We can manage regular rotas across multiple nights, spaces or venues, including DJ selection and cover when required. You have one point of contact with Future Media rather than having to source and manage multiple DJs individually.
